This Privacy Policy describes how litige.ma collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our platform for managing and resolving real-estate and rental disputes. Please note that this document is a template intended to be reviewed and validated by qualified legal counsel before final publication.

1. Data Controller

The data controller for personal data collected through the litige.ma platform is the company operating this service, established in Morocco. For any questions relating to the processing of your personal data, you may contact us at: contact@litige.ma.

As data controller, we are committed to complying with the provisions of Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, as well as the decisions and guidelines issued by the Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel (CNDP).

2. Data We Collect

When you use our services, we collect the following categories of data: (i) identity data — first name, last name, date of birth, national identity card (CIN) number or passport number; (ii) contact data — email address, phone number, mailing address; (iii) dispute-related data — description of the dispute, type of property involved, amounts at stake, and uploaded supporting documents (contracts, correspondence, court rulings, photographs).

We also collect copies of identity documents and evidence documents when their submission is necessary for processing your case. Such documents are collected only on the basis of your explicit consent, given at the time of case submission.

Navigation data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, session duration) is automatically collected for statistical and security purposes, strictly to the extent necessary for the proper operation of the platform.

3. Purposes of Processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes: (a) processing and tracking your real-estate or rental dispute case; (b) communicating with you regarding the progress of your case; (c) billing and payment management for subscribed plans; (d) improving our services and the user experience on the platform.

When you subscribe to a plan that includes the intervention of a partner lawyer, your data is also processed for the purpose of connecting you with that legal professional, in compliance with applicable professional secrecy rules.

5. Data Retention and Security

Your personal data is retained for the period strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. As a general rule, active case files are retained for the duration of your contractual relationship with litige.ma, plus a period of five (5) years from the date the case is closed, in order to meet legal and dispute-management obligations.

All data is hosted via Supabase, a secure database and storage infrastructure. Uploaded documents are stored in isolated storage spaces, accessible only to authorised personnel and systems. Appropriate technical and organisational measures are implemented to prevent any unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of your data.

6. Sharing with Third Parties

litige.ma does not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. Your data may be disclosed, strictly on a need-to-know basis, to the following categories of recipients: (a) partner lawyers, when you subscribe to the Lawyer plan; (b) technical service providers responsible for hosting and maintaining the platform (including Supabase); (c) competent authorities, when required by law or judicial order.

All sub-processors engaged by us are bound by confidentiality and security obligations equivalent to those we apply internally.

7. Your Rights Under Law 09-08

Under Moroccan Law No. 09-08, you have the following rights regarding your personal data: right of access, right of rectification, right to object on legitimate grounds, and right to erasure under the conditions set forth by law.
